The LUX dark matter detector hasn't detected any dark matter. They are looking for weakly interacting particles between dark matter and regular matter. However, seeing as dark matter isn't particle based I think this is a fruitless search.
The article on the "Dead Alien Tech" blog describes our physical universe as created from bubbles of pure energy bonding together, the bonds they create our physical universe, all of this exist within the dense "sea" of dark matter which fills our universe. Using this model, dark matter will never be directly detectable.
